Stand up for Labour - Southampton

Southampton Facebook flyerTICKETS NOW ON SALE

Stand up for Labour holds a show for Southampton & Romsey Labour Party, sponsored by Unite the Union and featuring a fantastic line up of comedians.

Taking place at The 1865 (Brunswick Square, Southampton SO14 3AR), the evening features:

Njambi McGrath, who recently won the prestigious New Act of the Year award at the Hackney Empire. She follows in the footsteps of Linda Smith, Stewart Lee, Tim Vine, Lee Mack, Henning Wehn and Joe Wilkinson. She made her Stand up for Labour debut in Stevenage in February and went down a storm.

Patrick Monahan, who blends a high energy comedy style with hilarious and engaging topical and observational material. Known for working a room, Patrick was winner of the 2011 ITV1 series ‘Show Me The Funny’, Patrick has gone on to appear in 'Splash!', 'Celebrity Squares', ‘Comedy Annual’, ‘Daybreak’, ‘Loose Women’ and ‘The Wright Stuff’. He is a former Stand up for Labour Act of the Year and is much loved by Labour audiences.

Norman Lovett is well-known as a 'Holly' in Red Dwarf, but was a stand-up comedian for many years before that, having been at the Comedy Store at the advent of Alternative Comedy. Norman has appeared at dozens of Stand up for Labour shows and has the most relaxed and confident stage persona on the circuit. He is belly-achingly funny.

Hosting this incredible line up is Crispin Flintoff, who set up Stand up for Labour and has now organised over 250 shows in six years. Crispin was once a runner-up at the prestigious Hackney Empire New Acts competition and went on to appear on Paramount Comedy Channel’s ‘The World Stands Up’. He has also appeared on ‘Daily Politics’ and ran the ‘#JC4PM’ variety tour.

The night also includes liquid prizes and a raffle.
