Stand up for Labour - Woking, 18th October, 7:30pm, advanced tickets
A fantastic line up of comedian comes to Woking for its first Stand up for Labour
Stand up for Labour holds its first event for Woking CLP and, to celebrate the occasion, is bringing one of our strongest ever line ups.
Taking place at Cafe TwelveThirty (Christ Church Woking, Jubilee Square, Woking GU21 6YG), the night includes four fantastic acts:
Softly spoken – but acerbic – Mary Bourke has brought hysteria to Stand up for Labour events in Vauxhall, Witney, Watford, St Albans and Chiswick. Mary has a beautifully crafted turn of phrase, an ability to draw you in and then shock!
Sir Ian Bowler, a fake Tory MP, whose act has gone down a storm at Stand up for Labour shows all over the country. His act is an hilarious mix of one liners, poems and painful, personal anecdotes.
Clare Ferguson-Walker, stand-up comedian and poet (recently toured with John Cooper-Clarke). One of the stand-out acts during the #JC4PM tour.
Patrick Monahan is one of the best banter merchants on the comedy circuit and his act has gone down so well with Labour Party crowds that he was winner of Stand up for Labour's Act of the year last year. He also won ITV1's 'Show me the Funny', in which millions tuned in and he won with an audience vote.
The night is hosted by Crispin Flintoff, who set up Stand up for Labour in 2013 and has now organised over 250 shows in England, Scotland and Wales.
The night includes liquid prizes, a raffle and plenty of opportunity to meet new and old friends.
