Stand up for Labour - Sevenoaks
Stand up for Labour returns to Westerham Hall (Quebec Avenue, Westerham TN16 1BG) for our second show for Sevenoaks Labour Party.
The night features three hilarious comedians.
Opening act Joe Wells is one of the most highly rated young comedians on the circuit who goes against the grain by focusing on political issues and satire. Appeared at Stand up for Labour’s very first show six years ago.
Middle act Poppy Brewer is a Labour-supporting comedian from Kent who is making her Stand up for Labour debut.
Headline act Norman Lovett started performing comedy at the beginning of Alternative Comedy, playing the original Comedy Store many times. He even supported The Clash, one of the personal highlights of his career. Norman made his name on the cult BBC series ‘Red Dwarf’ where he appeared as a computer called Holly. ‘A natural born comic… his delivery is so deadpan, he makes Jack Dee seem like Ken Dodd’
Your host for the night is Crispin Flintoff, who set up Stand up for Labour in 2012 and has now organised over 250 shows for the Labour Party in England, Scotland and Wales. He is the third cousin of the cricketer Andrew Flintoff.
The night also includes liquid prizes and a raffle.
Tickets cost £10 if bought before 1 October/£12 in advance/£15 on the night.
