Stand up for Labour returns to Banbury in a fundraiser at Cornhill Centre (Castle Street, Banbury OX16 5NT) featuring comedy, music and spoken word.
Opening act Gráinne Maguire an intelligent but also sometimes geeky outlook on political life. Her act has gone down a storm at Stand up for Labour events in England, Scotland and Wales and Gráinne has also featured on 'Question Time', 'Daily Politics' and many other TV shows.
Owen Collins is a Witney-based wordsmith who believes in socialism, love at first sight, and not having to pay to use the toilet in major railway termini.
Jeff Robert has been a jobbing actor for over 30 years and featured in several premier performances of Alan Ayckbourn plays. Jeff will be performing a mix of sketches and spoken word.
Steve Gribbin was part of the double act Skint Video that appeared in Red Wedge and the cult TV programme Saturday Night Live. Steve regularly appears at the Comedy Store’s Cutting Edge night, in which he performs topical material. He has gone down a storm at Stand up for Labour events right across the country.
The show is compered by Crispin Flintoff, who set up Stand up for Labour in 2012 and has now organised over 200 shows for CLPs. He is a distant relative of the cricket player Andrew Flintoff and has appeared on Paramount Comedy Channel's 'The World Stands Up'.
